rx200hp update

Word was recently leaked that the Strada rx200hp is due for an upgrade. Previously being the only chinese 'clone' with an oil cooler it will also be first with a factory installed 'big head'. The extra room the head provides allows for additional cooling. New models will come with both the oil cooler and the big head. Below you will find a picture and description of a few other unique parts to the rx200hp.

The stock GY6 head is the right image. The valve train on the Strada rx200hp engine is completely different then any other GY6 as is the rocker arm assembly, rockers and cam shaft. Also note the position of the spark plug hole and the higher height of the valve cover. The large valve cover is a dead give away that sets it apart from other engines.

I think you should give Alan Leson, President of Powersports Factory, credit for that pic and description of the engine head. You got that off the my vento bb.

No I got it off the yahoo group for Vento. Also I think it is pretty clear that I do give PSF Alan, Brett, and of course Steve credit for my info. I don't post things until they become public or I am given permission. I don't like stepping on anyones feet.

I got some info on the Air Induction,
Air Induction Cylinder Head system Its main purpose is to filter and measure intake air flow into the engine. Air is filtered by the air cleaner which passes into the intake manifold. The throttle valve controls the volume of air entering into the engine based on the driver himself (herself).

From the Air Cleaner, the air flows through an Air Flow Meter, (air valve) to the intake chamber via the hose running to the intake Manifold to the cylinder. The air induction head system gives more power and more torque. Helps eliminate unmeasured air into the intake system and any deposit build up on the intake valves.

Hey Mantis, Me and automattic just got our rx200's, and yeah, I think He's right about those pics coming from Alan. Don't You remember that long dragged out discussion earlier last week about the 4 valve head, and the high compression head, on the My Vento forum? Paul weighed in a few times, and He finally called Alan, then Alan posted the pics.

Rooster how goes it? Ive been following your posts and im glad everything is well. I meant to clarify in my earlier post that I do give Alan and PSF full credit I just didnt think I needed to note it. Most everyone had already seen it and knew where it came from. I am fortunate enough to live close to PSF and do get a chance to talk to them every now and again. Pretty sure Alan doesnt mind as he posted it publically originally. Since this is a blog about my rx200hp its only natural to find many Alan/PSF quotes.

Keep us all update on your new ride!

Hey slop, ours do have the air induction. Sounds like the only difference between the two models is the cooling but both methods alone are a big improvement and soon it will have the benefit of both! These engines should last a while just stock but hey it can't hurt.

Hi Mantis,
Yep been doing some recearch on the RX 150, I did find a lot on interesting fact, I did change my oil after 50 miles, Great system , A screen type filter, I now have 80 miles on it, This weather here in Indiana does not know its supposed to Spring, We had a Funnel cloud go over our house Sunday Night, It sucked all water from the toilets through the vent pipes that goes through the roof, Sounded like a 757 Jet, Good thing it did not touch down, March 10 of 1986 a F 3 touched down and wiped out our towm, School had let out 45 mins before it hit,
I had my scoot 65 MPH for a short distance, Not for a long period, Still low miles to run for any length of time,
I changed the oil to Valvalene ( Spell bad ) 10w-40 . So far its a awsome scoot, Take off is excellent, Fuel milage is great,
Have a Happy Safe Scootin Week
Bobby

I said its a Strada RX 200 HP, Wow he stated, Mine has different decals , They Mfg screwed up and put the stardard 150 decals except the checkerd flag decal on the front cowling, Any way he was amazed at the take off and speed,,, Horray For Strada Scoots, I now have close to 90 miles on it , Weather has been so darn cold, Its supposed to be spring, I think its finally on the way,,,,,
